Hello Friends,
Thank you for your interest in Parma! and Eat in the Raw. We hope you love Parma! as much as we do.
If you haven't tried it yet, we'd love to send you a sample. Send an email to info@eatintheraw.com.
Shannon started making what is now Parma! while trying to figure out how to make her allergy symptoms less severe and
eating a raw diet in 2000. Everyone she made her "cheesy-stuff" for loved it as much
as she did. So when we started our family, we decided to start bottling her creation and along with our baby, Parma! was born.
We feel extremely lucky to be offering Parma! to the world. It feels good to offer a product
that is healthy, nutritious, and tastes great. Parma! is not raw. The nutritional yeast is pasturized over 118 degrees to kill the yeast (other wise it would be like bread yeast).
However many raw foodists do eat Parma! for the nutrient content, and of course for the taste.
Dr. Gabriel Cousins (Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center) said that 80% of raw foodists and vegans will become vitamin B12 dificient. Cherie Soria, of Living Light,
says that most people, vegan or otherwise, are B12 dificient. Parma! is an excellent
food source of B12 thanks to the nutritional yeast. Have you had your Parma! today?
The nutritional yeast we use is Red Star Vegetarian Support Formula nutritional yeast. It is the highest quality nutritional yeast available. It contains
good quality protein and B vitamins, including B12; it has a yellow or gold color from its riboflavin content.
This species of yeast is Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which is food yeast grown in a molasses solution. This yeast is easily digestible and contains all the
essential amino acids. It is a different species of yeast than candida yeast; they do not have anything to do with each other. Candida yeast is a wild live
yeast while Red Star nutritional yeast is cultured and pasturized. In fact, Red Star nutritional yeast is guaranteed candida albicans negative.
The raw organic walnuts in Parma! are an excellent vegan source of Omega 3 oils. Omega 3's are essential for many metabolic processes in your body.
The 3rd ingredient in Original Parma! -- Celtic sea salt -- is one of the highest quality salts available. It is not kiln dried, unlike all table salt
and most sea salt, therefore it contains at least 75 trace minerals in the same ratio as sea water. Trace minerals are also essential for many
metabolic processes in your body and pretty much non-existent in most diets. Our soil today has been over farmed, even the soil in organic farms
is not as nutrient rich as it could be (although much more rich than commercial farms, which are pretty much nutrient-free).
So eat your Parma! today and make your food taste better while building a healthy body, by taking in high quality vegan vitamins,
minerals, essential oils, for today and your future.
As a mom and pop in the wild world of food making there are many challenges. One of the biggest
is getting the word out. So please share Parma! with your friends and family. Next time you go to a
